The goods will be over at 24trailer.com this afternoon. Head on over and watch the countdown!!!
Rumor has it that the new season starts after the nation has been rocked by a terrorist attack that even Jack Bauer and President Palmer couldn’t stop. What’s that you say? President Palmer’s dead? Oh. That’s inconvenient.
The trailer hits around 2 p.m. Central.

These are super-cool.
Live in NY? Want to be one of the first to get your hands on the new Lost action figures? Want to meet Todd McFarlane and a ‘principal Lost cast member (to be announced)’? Slide on over here and check out the details about getting autographs on the first series of these little gems.
For those that haven’t seen them, these are super-cool. McFarlane Toys is known for their high-quality reproductions of various licenses, and Lost is their newest undertaking. Monday, November 6 is apparently the big release date.
Personally, the must-haves are Hurley, Locke, Charlie and the Hatch Boxed Set. The Jack and Kate figures don’t really ring my bell, resemblance-wise. And I think displaying the Shannon one on my desk at work would make me look like a perve.
The second wave is due in May, and contains Sawyer, Jin, Sun, Sayid, Desmond and Mr. Eko, with a boxed set described as “Oceanic Flight 815 Crash Site”.
And the breakout hit of the new fall season is…TBD
From Sci-Fi -
” NBC has given a full-season order for its hit superhero series Heroes, the network announced. Heroes is averaging a 5.7 rating among adults aged 18-49 and 13.5 million viewers overall, making it the number-one new series this fall in adults 18-49, tied with ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, NBC said.
“Heroes has delivered exceptional ratings since its premiere, and we’re even more impressed with the quality of the upcoming episodes,” Kevin Reilly, president, NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “We have complete confidence in creator-executive producer Tim Kring. The best is yet to come over the course of a full season with this newest drama sensation.” Heroes airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. ”
CBS announced yesterday that it’s Ray Liotta drama Smith would be getting the axe.
It’s a shame…I really like Liotta. Maybe I should have…I don’t know, actually watched the show or something. Most of what I heard from people who actually did watch it was positive, but ratings, not reviews, are king, unfortunately.

06 2 CommentsDid you watch My Name is Earl last night? There was a subtle edit there that I’m not sure how I feel about.
The beginning of the episode started with Earl saying something along the lines of, “You know how those…people come together to help each other build a barn?” There was a definite break there, almost like someone just hit the mute button for a second.
Now, you don’t have to have seen Witness to know that he was referring to Amish…and if you haven’t been hiding under a rock, you know about the terrible events at the Amish school earlier this week.
Let me preempt this by saying that I think the events in that school were reprehensible…an unbelievable act of evil. I know that this has scarred and terrified children and parents all over the nation, not to mention the children who were actually in that schoolhouse.
But was it really necessary for NBC to edit out the word ‘Amish’ from the show last night? I remember scenes from shows and movies being changed and dropped after 9/11 that showed shots of the Twin Towers…heck, the first Spiderman trailer featured them prominently, and was quickly pulled. But that was an event that completely shook the bedrock of every single American. Are Monday’s events really on the same level?
As I write this, though, I can see the other side. I can imagine that some people would be completely taken out of the moment when they hear Amish, especially as fresh a wound as this is. I don’t know…my initial reaction was frustration, but…now I just don’t know.
What do you think about it?

I watched the second episode of Smallville’s 6th season last night, and I’m intrigued by what’s happening with the show. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) has shown up in a very “Batman” type roll. My guess is that since the producers couldn’t use Batman, they decided to use the next best thing…another rich guy that dresses up in a costume…this one just think’s he’s Robin Hood.
So far, I have to say I’m interested. Particularly with the rumors that we’re getting a full-on “Justice League” episode in January, and seeing that Green Arrow is actually wearing a costume. Could we see Tom Welling in a Superman costume before this series wraps up? It’s possible. My guess is that Superman Returns’ lacluster performance this summer has loosened the noose around the Smallville producer’s necks, and allowed them to play with the DC Universe a little more.
As for this episode itself, it wasn’t terribly remarkable, but it did feature some really interesting, forward moving moments. Lois has finally developed an interest in journalism, and Oliver was introduced to move the Justice League angle forward.
I’m not sure this is the best time to be jumping on to Smallville, but for long-time fans, things are looking up, and this season might just end up being a winner!
Two surprising hints…it’s on NBC, and it’s not a comedy. Read the rest of this entry »
