I believe you are right. It will happen. It is the only show that seems to have Reunion stuff about it. Seinfeld, Cheers, Raymond have no clamorings of reunion. With NBC desperate for some buzz and ratings, the chances are even greater. I believe that David protests too much.
There is no reason to say never esp. from publicity stand point. They hire him because of his Friends cache. Sure he maybe deluded thinking Fatboy is his key out of its shadow. I believe it’s more than Fatboy. I believe he had to say never because there something is going on and maybe he is being pressured by everyone esp. fellow Friends to do a Reunion. So he thought he had to publicly reject it. Thus in a way he has trapped himself. No one is going hire him if he angers his Friends base. Thus he may have to do a Reunion to make-up for his Publicity disaster. Like you said retract his statement, but I think this is the beginning ironically of the Reunion. Maybe this the only way to get these Friends together where six stars/egoes are equal and so without one, no deal. We’ll see.

I don’t think there is any reason for them to revisit those characters…however I would like to think that the six of them will reunite sometime like in an interview or retrospective clip show or something. Maybe even get all six back for something where they play all new characters? that could be interesting
