This is one of those announcements that doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense. Lifetime Network - you know, the “network for women” - has cast male chauvinist Donald Trump as himself in a show Lifetime Entertainment President Susanne Daniels describes as “Desperate Housewives in Trump Tower with The Donald narrating.”

I can’t quite figure out what Lifetime is hoping to accomplish with this series…but maybe they’ve already done it. Here we are talking about the Lifetime Network - something that wouldn’t have happened without this announcement.
