The mildly amusing penguins from the completely forgettable Madagascar are on their way to the small screen.
Nickelodeon has teamed up with Dreamworks to produce a series that will revolve around ” Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, four penguins performing secret missions throughout New York City from their base of operations at the Central Park Zoo.”
The show is scheduled for an initial run of 26 episodes and should premiere in early 2009 (although I have no idea where they’re going to get scripts early enough to actually get this done).
