The Top Ten drama and comedy finalists for the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced yesterday. This list represents the ten shows that received the most votes from the Television Academy, and which will subsequently go before the Blue Ribbon Panel on the weekend of June 28-19…hey, that’s tomorrow! The results will be announced on Thursday, July 17.

There a few glaring omissions in this thread:
Desperate Housewives & Samantha Who in comedy & Brothers & Sisters in drama.
Family Guy is amusing but it is definately not one of the top ten comedies on TV. I am completely shocked it beat Desperate Housewives in a popular vote. The academy must either really love FG or really hate DH. Samantha Who i can kind of understand since it is new and pretty much an Appelgate showcase. Ugly Betty & Weeds both had weak seasons though so I would have definately had DH & SW on my list. I have never seen Flight of the Condor and didn’t hear much about it so that is kind of a suprise. Glad to see all of the other shows on there ESPECIALLY Pushing Daisies.
The Tudors has no business being on the best drama list. The show is SO boring. Season 1 was ok but Season 2 of this show was pretty awful save a couple of perfomances here and there. i would have had Brothers & Sisters easily ahead of them. Other than that the drama list is pretty solid. I hope lost can get nominated again after being snubbed the last two years in this categorey after winning in its first year.
