I think I was more excited about the previously announced Heroes: Origins than I was about the actual season of the show. In case you missed it, NBC had plans to do a spinoff of sorts during one of the show’s hiatuses, in which they would bring in some big names to direct and star in some one-shot episodes. Names like Kevin Smith and Eli Roth were attached to the project.

Unfortunately, it appears the impending writers strike is going to put a damper on that. With the writers working overtime to get scripts cranked out, it’s likely that they just have not had time to begin work on the spinoff stories. Either that, or NBC has felt the…boredom…that fans are having with this season.

Anyway, there’s another great idea down the tubes.
