Even before High School Musical 3: Senior Year this the movie theaters on October 24th (just in time for Halloween - huh?) the Disney Channel is starting work on the 4th installment in the series.
Obviously, since High School Musical 3 is subtitled “Senior Year”, there is most likely going to be a “next generation” aspect to High School Musical 4. “We are writing ‘High School Musical 4,’ ” Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross confirmed Tuesday. “Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not,” Ross said. “Will we have some of them? I hope so.”
Right now High School Musical 4 is being planned as a TV movie, although if the 3rd film performs well enough at the box office, its possible that could change.
