If you have a Comcast TiVo remote, no doubt you’ve notice that the TiVo doesn’t have a 30-second skip button (none of them do, it’s not just Comcast). There is hope, however, as a code has been found to enable this most awesome of features.
Simply hit the following button combination on your remote:
Rewind
Slow
Fast Forward
Play
3
0
Advance
Now the feature should be enabled, and the button with the right arrow under the fast forward button will advance 30 seconds every time you press it.

Is that just on the Comcast TiVo remote, or is that on every TiVo remote?

@Drew
This info is specific to Comcast TiVo remotes.
For a regular TiVo all you have to do is the following during playback:
Select - Play - Select - 3 - 0 - Select
You will hear 3 bongs, and BOOM - you have a 30 second skip button.

I’ve noticed that whenever I do this, it gets reset where the advance button goes ahead to the end of the recording. Is there any way to ensure that once this is set, it won’t reset itself?
