James Marsters returns to Smallville in January - although from this image I’m not 100% sure in what capacity. This is a promotional image from the shot, and old Braniac and Superman there sure do seem to be having an awfully civilized conversation.

So is Marsters coming back as friend…or foe? We’ll find out in January.
