I don't think she's overconfident, I think she's on to something the show has a loyal fanbase that is growing. The show has much higher viewership than the ratings indicate as the ratings are based on Neilson ratings, which most in the industry will tell you are skewed and not an accurate system by a long shot. Also, CBS is starting to recognize that their online viewership is HUGE. Many people tivo/dvr the show and watch it later or watch online and these are not accounted for. Also, I'd like to see the ratings of any show vs. the American Idol machine. Now that's a franchise that I would love to see gone. :)

I love the storyline of Jericho more than most shows that have come out in the last 4 to 5 years. I've never gotten into the Sex And The City, Desperate Housewives, Lost...etc. type shows.

This one had beloved character actors that you could root for. For we baby boomers, and early baby busters that remember the Cold War and the threat that one side or the other might trip the "Uh Oh" button at any time.....it was like the show was tailor made for us.

My only regret was that Gerald McRaney wanted released from his contract...I love his character "Johnston Green" but I feel that from this loss...the storyline, plot and characters can and will grow into the cast they need to be.

I'm hooked....I pray they don't take it away again. Although no show can last forever; I hope the networks are now shown that we, the audience, have caught on to their "give them a handful of episodes....land on a semi-cliffhanger...then throw to a LONG hiatus!"
Because that's exactally what happened with ABC's "Commander In Chief".

I'm proud to be a Jericho Ranger from the Outpost in East Tennessee!!!!

We worked VERY hard to get JERICHO back on the air. We are hoping for the best and believe that JERICHO will continue past the 7 promised episodes.
If viewers would just give it a chance, I know that they would love the show. It is exciting and different and it has heart. I like that in a tv show that I watch. What about you?

JERICHO FRI. CBS BE THERE!!

I'm sure one of the reasons for her confidence is the fact that not only did the Jericho fans fight to have the show returned, we are still fighting to promote the show. Those thousands of fans that contacted CBS and sent nuts are now talking to everyone who will listen about what a great show it is, and how they should give it a try. We have passed out flyers with the new date (July 6 9pm eastern 8pm central), given away bookmarks with the same information, posted on websites, warmly welcomed new people to our website, called radio stations, called newspapers, called t.v. stations, etc. Anything to get the word out that Jericho is back and it is A GREAT SHOW. Thank you for the article.
