The New York Times is reporting that The Daily Show’s John Stewart will be offered the spot to host the 80th annual Academy Awards this year.

Stewart proved to be a perfect match for the awards show back in 2006, so I feel like it’s a perfect fit.  We’re due to have an official announcement today, so we’ll let you know as soon as it’s confirmed!
