Besides quick, witty dialogue, there are a lot of "easter eggs" for sci-fi fans. For instance, in the recent episode, the Middleman used the alias of Dr Emmet Brown, and the show made reference to Twin Valley Mall (Back to the Future. Bringing in a guest star with some experience making absurdity a bit more down to earth couldn't hurt, that's for sure.
