kristenbellclose.JPGAusiello from TVGuide broke the news yesterday that Veronica Mars‘ Kristen Bell is in the running to take on the role of Charlotte, “precocious, loquacious and funny…a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world” in the 2008 season of Lost.

I never got into Mars, but I did love Bell in her brief appearance on the first season of HBO’s Deadwood.  We’ll keep an eye on this as it develops.
