I’m a big of Lauren Graham. Up until the last season, Gilmore Girls was a great show, and I’m glad to see that her career is continuing to go up. It’s just been announced that she has signed a very large deal with NBC – somewhere to the tune of seven figures. The signing is one of the first big moves by NBC’s new entertainment president, Ben Silverman.

NBC will be developing a show around Lauren, and it’ll be interesting to see what route they take with that. Will they go with something that’s comedic drama like Gilmore Girls was, or will they want to go a different route, with something like The Office or 30 Rock that might help separate Lauren in the minds of viewers from her previous role as Loreli Gilmore?

Whatever they decide, I’ll be there to check out the pilot at least.

Lauren has appeared on NBC several times in the past – her most recent appearance on the network was as a guest host of the sketch show within the show “Studio 60″ last year.
