Of course, since they have been promised a certain number of episodes, it's possible that they may make it up next season, which would draw THAT story out. This really serves to alleviate my main concern, which was that they did not have the opportunity to tie up the arc of this season with eight episodes. Even though they won't have a 16-episode run like was planned, at least now they'll have the opportunity to have an actual resolution. Yeah, I completely agree with you…it will be a great way to really tighten up the story.
