“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus has been tapped to host the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. In addition to her hosting duties she is up for 3 awards.

Cyrus has recently been through the wringer as far as the tabloids go with pictures surfacing on My Space as well as in Vanity Fair that were slightly more “grown up” than the parents of her fan base would like.

It must be hard growing up in the public eye like this. Still, Cyrus seems infinitely more intelligent than Brittany Spears, so maybe she can make it through all of this mess without shaving her head and attacking people with umbrellas.

Of course, none of that has anything to do with the Teen Choice Awards - but…whatever.
