Today NBC revealed the new “Attack Mode” for K.I.T.T. on the upcoming “Knight Rider” series. The show is being produced by the writer of “The Fast and the Furious” so I don’t know why I should be surprised, but this new “Attack Mode” is obviously inspired by the types of cars that appear in those films.
The online fan community is already unimpressed mixed, but that means little to the people responsible for the show. Obviously if there were enough “Knight Rider” fans out there already the show would still be on the air, so the producers aren’t looking to please the original fans…but rather bring in a new generations of fans.
Will this car do it?
I don’t know…but I don’t care much for it myself. I’m not the target demographic though, so who knows?

People tunned in to watch the pilot episode for two reason. One they wanted to see what this show would be like and two they wanted a chance to OWN a real GT500KR…Still to this day NBC has not revealed who won the car. The Pilot episode was different in alot of ways from the original…but it only needed a few tweaks here and there. NOW this crap that they’ve done now is just GARBAGE…KITT transforming from a car to a truck…That’s just complete crap…Shame on Universal for allowing these jerks to COMPLETELY RUIN A ONCE ICONIC SHOW..

I watched the Pilot episode just yesterday, but saw these pictures on the official NBC site for the show, and I was a little suprised by them. I don’t know why they didn’t keep the attack mode version from the TV movie NBC did earlier this year. That version was sleeker, more of the Knight Rider feel, and I was jazzed up for the actual series. Now, I am not so sure. I must not be in the demographic either, fan of the original series.
