Like any new television season, this one has its share of great new shows and shows that will be gone before you can say Kitchen Confidential. More...

  • The Good

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip- Like the best days of the West Wing only cooler.   And how could you go wrong with the combo of Perry, Whitford and Peet?  It will be interesting to see where this show goes over the season.  One thing is for sure:  I’ll be watching.

Brothers & Sisters- Nothing revolutionary on this show.  No plot twists and turns.  Just a stellar cast and great material.  As a Calista Flockhart fan I thought I would be drawn to her, but Rachel Griffiths and Sally Field are the MVPs of the cast thus far.

Ugly Betty-I don’t know why this show works, but it does.  The premiere episode had a sweet, fun quality that I haven’t seen in a while.  Its nice to see something the whole family could watch on tv again.

Heroes-This show could be really good or really bad, but the premiere definitely has me wanting more.  As long as the story stays character driven and doesn’t get too “X-men on tv” then I’ll keep watching.

  • The Ok

Vanished-I actually think this show is pretty good.  Not great, but it has kept me entertained.  Definitely a nice post Prison Break watch.

Kidnapped-I think the idea for a good show is there as is a great cast.  The execution just leaves something to be desired.  Add in the bad ratings and I think this will be one of the first to go.

Smith-Kind of in the same boat as Kidnapped.  Great cast (especially Virginia Madsen), but you just don’t care about these characters.  They are bad people who do bad things.  I will give it some time to see if that changes, but it doesn’t look promising at this point.

  • The Hopefully Soon To Be Canceled

FOX Comedies-I attempted to watch them, and I just don’t have anything nice to say.  Poor Brad Garrett he deserved better.

I’m still looking forward to the premieres of The Nine and 30 Rock.  I’ll be posting my opinion on my returning favorites soon.
