It looks like a Red Hot Chili Peppers has taken it one step too far with the new Showtime sereis “Californication”. Not only is that name the title of a 1999 Chili Peppers album, but one of the characters is named Dani California – which is a song from that album as well.

The Peppers have decided that the show hurts their brand name, and as a result, have sued Showtime for damages. From what I understand, the show has been struggling…this may be just the thing to get it canned.
