This morning, Stephen Colbert officially threw his hat into the ring and filed for inclusion into the South Carolina Democratic Presidential Primary. He had planned to run on the GOP ticket, but didn’t want to pay the $35,000 fee. Before I even had a chance to comment on it, however, party officials rejected his bid.

According to TVGuide, he didn’t necessarily want to be President, he just wanted to run for President in South Carolina, his home state.
