Last night was a great night to be watching television – writer’s or not.

It all started on “A Daily Show” with John Stewart. Stephen Colbert dropped by and brought up the recent Colbert/Conan feud that he assumed John had settled when he revealed that Conan first appeared on John’s old MTV talk show. However, Conan had taken it a step further by displaying a picture that proved he, in fact, delivered Colbert and Stewart when they were born.

They then showed video of Conan threating to kick both their asses – something John was not terribly interested in having happen to him. So in pure cartoon fashion, of course, Conan comes out as they are discussing this – and it is decided that a battle must take place…but John has to finish his show first.

So Conan and Colbert wait outside.

At the end of the episode, John went to fight, but Colbert had left to go do his show…so John and Conan went and waited at Colert’s show…as you can imagine, Conan then had to leave at the end of Colber’s show, and ultimately, the showdown took place on Conan’s show later that night.

And what a showdown it was…

I know these guys are ready to get their writer’s back…but I have to say, these shows have been funnier than ever without the writer’s and I’m honestly not looking forward to them coming back.
