TVGuide has it on good authority that NBC has plans to create a spinoff to The Office.
The word is that none of the key players will feature in the new show like Private Practice did with Grey’s Anatomy…rather, we will be seeing some new faces on the show that will transfer to the spinoff later. We’ll be seeing Rashida Jones in this week’s episode…I wonder if we may be getting a glimpse this week of what we can expect in the spinoff.
NBC is looking for a name to headline the show…who do you think would be a good follow up to Steve Carrell’s Michael Scott? Also, what would be a good name for the new show…The Office: Miami?

Well, this is in the running for the dumbest idea I’ve heard all week.
If they have to do something like this, though…I say cast Jonathan Hodgeman as the branch manager, and transfer Andy and Karen over there.

I say to seperate themselves from the original…they go for a female boss. NBC did recently sign a deal to develop a show for Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame…
