Last year’s Office Halloween episode (one of the best of the series, in my opinion) was directed by Joss Whedon, who you’ll recognize from Firefly and Buffy, among other things. He returns to the director’s chair again for tonight’s episode, “Branch Wars”.

Expect to see the return of Jim’s flame from last season, Karen. As she begins to attempt to recruit members of the Scranton branch, Michael recruits Jim to go to battle.
