This ad, from 1963, gives us the very first look at Ronald McDonald – and he’s never looked creepier. This guy is disturbing. He looks like he fell out of a McDonald’s BFI bin, and he’s now trying to lure children back in.

Once you add on the fact that a McDonald’s cheeseburger is essentially an injection of fat into a child…this guy gives me nightmares.

I have to say, I’m looking forward to this. Cleveland is far and away my favorite character on “Family Guy”, and I’m looking forward to seeing him on his own. This series is looking much better than “American Dad”, and I can’t wait to see the pilot.

I loved the Gremlins as a child – the second one even more so than the first. It’s one of those franchises that I’ve always wanted to see brought back – even though I know they’ll screw it up and CG them instead of using the awesome puppets. Still, its nice to see them back, even if only for a little while, in this new UK commercial.
