According to AICN Fox Entertainment President Kevin Riley told the Television Critics Association that “Prisonbreak” has been cancelled because it is “just played out”.
The last episodes of the series will take over the “Terminator” timeslot on April 17th.
As for Joss Whedon’s upcoming “Dollhouse” the executive said “…we’re going to let the show play out for 13 episodes…if we can do some business there it will be a great thing for the future.”
Not sure exactly what that’s supposed to mean. The statement itself doesn’t sound terribly promising, but at least we know they’re going to give Joss and Co. 13 episodes to find their footing.

The “Prison Break” spin-off entitled “Prison Break: Cherry Hill” is still going forward, but there is one small change according to TV Guide.
Originally, main protagonist of the series was going to guest star on “Prison Break” in a short storyarc with Michael. Since the Writer’s Strike butchered last season, those plans have been scrapped. Now the series will being cold, much like a brand extension show liked “CSI: Miami” or “Law & Order: London”.
The show is expected for mid season next year on Fox.

24 5 CommentsFOX has ordered a script for a spinoff from Prison Break, to be called Prison Break: Cherry Hill. Seriously.
The series will center around Molly, an upper-middle-class housewife who suffers tragedy from the same Company that has put the Scofield brothers through so much hell over the past three seasons. Molly will end up in a women’s detention facility, presumably called “Cherry Hill”. After she is contacted with information that her family is still alive, she becomes determined to escape.
I’m not crazy about the name, and the premise doesn’t really do much for me, but I think there’s a potential audience for it. We’ll see as it becomes closer to reality.
