Craig Robinson pleaded guilty to a felony count of possession of ecstasy in an LA court on Wednesday according to TV Guide.
A spokesperson for the L.A. D.A. stated that the actor was allowed into a “drug-diversion program” by the judge and the case will be dismissed as long as Robinson stays clean for 18 months and completes counseling.
The felony charges of methamphetamine possession and a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence have been dropped.
Robinson’s attorney issued a statement saying that the actor “really appreciates and takes seriously the opportunity which has been given to him by the court and the prosecution to have all the charges against him dismissed upon successful completion of a counseling program.”
So remember kids…All you have to do is become a minor celebrity and even that small level of success in the public eye will make you immune to actually have to suffer serious consequences for your actions!
There is no word on if any of this will have an affect on Robinson’s role as Darryl Philbin on “The Office”.

Actor Craig Phillip Robinson, who is probably best known as Daryl from “The Office” (although you can see him in films like “D-Wars”, and “Pineapple Express”) has been busted for possession of drugs.
The Actor was actually arrested in June, but the felony charges for possessing MDMA (ecstasy) and methamphetamine were just filed according to MSNBC.
There is no word yet on if this will affect his career or his role on NBC’s hit series, but with drug possession being a pretty common thing among celebrities these days, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this had no affect on him what-so-ever.
If anything, it might HELP his career. We don’t often talk about Daryl Philbin when discussing “The Office”…but we’re sure talking about him now.

14 1 CommentIn one of the best home-spun viral marketing campaigns I have ever seen, Rainn Wilson, who is currently on set shooting the 5th season of “The Office” with co-star Jenna Fischer has started a website and released a YouTube video of himself having kidnapped America’s sweetheart.
He is committed to keeping her locked in his car until “The Rocker” his new feature film, makes $18.7 million dollars on its opening weekend.
This is FAR better marketing than anything else related to the movie…and I may actually end up seeing it now because of this. Rainn has also taken over Jenna’s MySpace page and is refusing to relinquish control on until “The Rocker” is a success.
You can see “The Rocker” trailer right here. It hits theaters on August 20, 2008 – do you part to set Jenna free and go see it.

Well, I finally have something to look forward to on Superbowl Sunday. No offense to “the big game”, but I’ve never been into football all that much. Still, the Superbowl manages to find its way onto my television set almost every year. I have no idea why.
This year, however, I’ll be sure to tune in AFTER the show, for a very special hour-long episode of “The Office”. Many of you may remember that this slot was supposed to go to an “Office spin-off” this year – but that concept has been shelves for the time being, and the original show is going to take the slot in its place.
I love the hour long episodes of the series – and I honestly think they should just extend this show to an hour rather than do a spin-off to begin with. We know we’re getting at least 2 one hour episode of the series this season because the first new episode of season 5 will also be an hour long special when it airs in Sept.

28 NO CommentsNBC has graciously posted both “The Office” and “Heroes” Comi-con panels in their entirety, which you can watch below.
They run close to an hour each, so you’ll be here for a while if you watch them, but if you’re a hardcore fan, you’ll love it…
Things are looking very interesting for both shows.

More details have been released about the upcoming Amy Poehler based sitcom coming to NBC from the same producing team as the US version of “The Office”.
Poehler’s new sitcom will be shot in the same style as “The Office” but it will not be in any way related to the show. The spin-off that has been long rumored is still in development and will be going ahead as well.
So if the Poehler show is successful, and the Office spin-off actually makes it to air – we’ll have 3 shows on at once shot in the same format. Is it just me, or could that be too much of a good thing?
We’ll just have to wait and see.

30 1 CommentIn more “Office” news, Amy Ryan has signed on to return to the series for 5 episodes next season.
I have to say I’m really disappointed by this news because she needs to be on the show FULL TIME.
Amy Ryan’s character is an absolutely perfect addition to the series and will be genuinely sad to see her go if she’s only going to be with us for 5 episodes. I really hope she can be a part of the cast for a longer period of time.
What can we send to NBC to make this happen? Pieces of office chairs? Illustrations of Yoda doing yoga? I don’t know – but something must be done!
Amy Ryan FULL TIME!!!! Spread the word!

Today I’m happy to report that Steve Carell has signed up for 3 more years of playing Michael Scott on the NBC hit series “The Office”.
Ricky Gervais broke the story on his blog over the weekend, and it looks like the show is a lock (ratings willing) for at least 3 more seasons. Some people had speculated that Carell might transition to films full time after the success of features like “The 40 Year-Old-Virgin” and “Get Smart”.
Work continues on the “Office” spin-off as well, and Gervais is involved in the process, although there is still no word on just what its going to be about, or who the full cast might be.
We’ll just have to wait and see.

I certainly hope not.
Rumor has it that Rashida Jones will be the star and focus of the upcoming “Office” spin-off. It’s also been “confirmed” that Aziz Ansari of “Human Giant” has been cast in the series as well.
I have to say that is all very underwhelming news.
I really like Karen. I thought she had a great character arc on “The Office”, and I would very much like her to continue to make guest appearances on the show. I don’t, however, think that she’s the right character to lead a spin-off show. I know they may be trying to do something a bit different with this, but I still think you need some kind of eccentric boss for “The Office” to work.
Just my two cents.
We don’t know for sure yet, but we’ll learn more throughout the summer.
