In an 81% majority vote nearly 300 CBS members of the Writer’s Guild of America voted to strike – so they’re joining the party. The union represents 500 CBS employees in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington D.C.
I have a much hard time getting behind their reasons for striking than I do for the writer’s with creative programming that is continually sold and resold long after they’re dead.
The primary complaint from this group is that they haven’t gotten a pay raise since 2004. Lots of people haven’t gotten a pay raise in a few years…the economy sucks…what do you expect?
Anyway…more bodies for the picket lines….
